Doc panel for Jax Mids

Wanted to take my chances and appeal to any of the Docs on the forum who are in Jax. We're trying to get two or three flight docs to donate some time and come in to talk with and answer questions for the aviation-minded Midshipmen at JU. PM me for info if interested.

Why don't you call one of the branch health clinics at Jax or Mayport?

I can't speak for Jax, but Mayport doesn't have any docs to spare. They are so woefully understaffed there, it's ridiculous. Then again, the whole clinic SOP is kind of weird.

To the OP: why? It's not like anyone can change anything. It seems that if people are really wondering about medical questions, time would be better spent perusing through the NAMI waiver guide, but even then... Or maybe I'm missing the intent of your show.

I get this loud and clear. Several of the mids with issues/questions said they would rather hear answers straight from the docs. I assumed they had searched high and low for their issues, but the link in ***NAMI Medical Waiver Guide*** seems to be what the docs would tell us anyway. I'll forward them the links rather than fight for the docs' valuable time.

Perhaps donate your time and go to them at their location.

You'll probably have better luck.

There is subjectivity when it comes to medical decisions, what one doc you have for a Q and A may say is ok and waiverable one at NAMI may not, I had one person with a DQ condition waivered, but due to circumstances we had to delay his application, due to experiation of his MEPS physical he went through the process again but this time, under a new doc, he was not waivered.

Basically what I am saying is unless you have the doc's that are making the decision you might as well just send them to this site or look in the waiver guide.
