Competitiveness for SWO?

I took the OAR for the first time today and scored a 46 after studying for two weeks. My GPA is not very good (2.8) but my recruiter mentioned that the score should be fine and said my application is still competitive. I still have my personal statement and medical exam coming up, but I was wondering how competitive my overall application might be. Was seriously considering retaking the OAR before the upcoming April board.

Short answer this forum is primarily naval aviation related so I don’t know specifics. But if your recruiter said it’s competitive give it a shot, and don’t stress about it. All too soon you will be cutting circles in an imaginary box in the ocean, with very little sleep, wondering when you will see land again.

@kimmer1013 please stop posting the same question across multiple threads, including the new thread you created. I believe the question has been answered. Take some time to read other threads to gain insight from other applicant that applied before you. There’s a ton of good info….if you take the time to read the threads.
