As an aside: anybody ever seen a 5.56 go through a brick wall? Cinder block from close I'll buy. But a brick wall? Dubious. Then again, I'm not a member of the evil black rifle club, so my knowledge here is limited.

People tend to forget a lot of instances that are the justification for carrying a bigger stick than they other guy, but of course when something like that shootout happens the same people are complaining because the authorities can't handle the situation, why? because they need bigger sticks...9 times out of 10 these people just need something to whine about...

In many cases, people who complain their way to the police force, military, "free health care ", that they though they wanted are those that are the most effected when it comes to pass.

I'm in law enforcement, and in no way think that what we do is above being questioned by those that we are there to serve, but the type of weapons that we carry doesn't seem to be something that we need to leave to the whims general public.
