Boston Logan does not like that either. I was told that if you asked for a progressive taxi, you might as well have asked to sleep with the controller's dead mother, and expect the ground version of vectors to nowhere/airport tour.

BOS will also try and land you on a relatively short, snow covered runway with a slight tailwind. A real attention getter in a DC8 with an anti skid system that is first generation. The 767 really relaxes the pucker factor.
As for the airline thing, you'll be well prepared before you get in the left seat. The Feds are big on airport SA due to incursions so you'd better have your 10-9 out and in front of you and know where you are as well as utilizing proper radio technique and terminology.
