Much props to anyone who has their sh!t in one sock enough to make Master Diver, but when you consider what he had to go through he really was an inspiration. I attended Navy Dive School in '95 and two of the instructors had met him and mentioned him in class; I didn't think much about him again until the movie came out and saw what a great sailor he was.

I'll throw out a big Hooyah to the Master Chief as he crosses the bar. My prayers go out to his family.
