Aint it the truth? That's why bride gets a special dress, and the groom and groomsman wear tuxes. If the groom gets cold feet and runs away, she just marries the next guy in line.
 
Sorry, Zab, I should have elaborated some. They used to make folks wear swords while standing certain watches, the uniform for which was summer whites. In addition, the plebe summer detailers wore summer whites, swords, and gloves for the parades during the summer.
 
I didn't think we could wear whites in the winter season (November), but we could wear blues year round.
If one were to ger married in December, could he wear whites as it is his wedding?
