In BUD/S, depending on the injury and its severity you could simply go on light duty and continue training. For more serious injuries they will either roll you back and/or make you wait a given period of time to re-class. Officers only get one shot at passing BUD/S.
For recon its a similar story. If you're a boot, you'll likely get time to recover before trying again. If its a show stopper injury, you probably won't become a recon Marine.
