I live in vegas and my recruiter say e-3 pay started at only $900 a month and would go up to e-5 pay after making the deans list two times in a row. Now, is that not including housing or something like that??? I thought that the pay would start a little bit higher than that. I know that housing takes into account the location that you are in but i've never heard of an e-3 making less than 12k base pay, that is chicken feed. I thought from all the fylers that the pay was around $1500 a month. Is there anyone currently in the BDCP program who would be willing to tell me what their base pay is or what the correct amount should be?

I'm not BDCP, but here's a link to the military pay scale, as well as an interactive BAH chart. Also, I think you move up to E-4 after 2 semesters of dean's list, and you can move up to E-5 by getting one of your friends to sell his soul to the navy (referal). I think your recruiter can't read a chart, E-3 pay under 2 years is $1407, while BAH for Vegas for E-3 is $667. Or maybe your recruiter meant $900 a paycheck (after tax)? That sounds about right. Thisguy probably had it right. Your BDCP checks will probably be $900-1000 each, and that's every two weeks. If your BAH is 667 then I bet you clear $2000 per month easy. I get just under $2000 per month with a BAH a little lower than yours.

Thanks for replying so quickly...cleared things up a bit. I have my test next thursday and my recruiter says that he will grade it and tell me on the spot if i qualify for intel/crypto and I will be signing papers and watching the required boot camp video. I know that sounds crazy but he says that they let him grade the test and plug in my gpa to figure out if my overall score is high enough because he is far away from where they do the review...but i dunno. He said I don't have to do that well becuase my GPA is pretty high, so we'll see.

Took ASTB Today

Well, I took my ASTB test today, my recruiter says I am competitive but we will see. My OAR was 49 and I was one point shy of being pilot qualified on one of the scores. He said that all I have to do is study the spatial stuff if I want go for pilot. But...that's ok because I didn't study for the aviation section, I have never seen that spatial stuff and never read anything on planes or ships. My choices are going to be Intel, SWO, and Crypto. My GPA is almost a 3.8 Criminal Justice, Eagle Scout, Boys State and all that crap. Got my PFT next week so I can get my app off by the first week of april.

Hey guys, I'm new to this site. I got most of the way through my BDCP applicaiton process... got Pro-Rec for SWO and NFO, did the physical, PRT & EPSQ. My recruiter submitted everything over a week ago, and says he is waiting on my OCS date. How long does that take?

hey unlvrebel.... let me know if you find out in just two weeks about the BDCP for crypto. that's what i applied for at the end of january and i still havent heard back yet...
