I've just talked to my recruiter a few days ago for the first time and am about to start the application process for bdcp. Just curious how competitive I will be for pilot. My GPA is 3.3 in Professional Aviation, I've got about 270 hours flying time (Instrument, Commercial, Multi-engine---working on CFI) and I will be able to get quite a few LOR's from officers in various branches (O-5 and above) and a congressman. As far as my leadership experience, I'm currently enrolled in AFROTC (non-contract) and have been very active in the program, but I just don't think the Air Force has the type of lifestyle I'm looking for. Will this AFROTC experience be a plus for my package, or will it look negatively because I'm thinking about getting out of it? Thanks in advance for any replies and any other advice will be appreciated!
