BAH Questions

I'm a 2ndLt. on PTAD until 30 March 10. I understand that in addition to my basic pay as an O-1, I am also eligible for some sort of housing allowance while I am awaiting TBS. Initially I was told by the HRT at my OSS that I rate full BAH for my specific area (Albany, NY), which then led to me being informed that I rate transit BAH or Type-II BAH which is significantly lower. Thats all well and good, but neither my OSS or the Admin NCOs at the Regional Recruiting Station have been able to give me an exact amount that I will be receiving on the 1st and 15th of every month. If anybody can clear this up or provide me with some numbers or at least some direction as to where to find out what I rate, it'd be greatly appreciated. (I'm going to be putting a deposit down on an apartment and need an exact figure that I can give my landlord) Thanks to all.

I was figuring this out a while ago because I'm in the same situation, I think it was around 2,800 after tax for BAH + base pay. Might be wrong though.

I was in the same situation before TBS, the unit I was with paid me full BAH for 4 months and they WILL catch it at TBS. Needless to say, I had a couple $200 paychecks in Quantico.

You only rate BAH-II (partial) which is right around $600, can't pull up the exact amount on my LES because they never actually paid it. BAS is an additional $250 (roughly). All of this is tax-free.
