One of my favorites is the decompression myth. Back when there was a debate about arming pilots post 9/11, smart people were convinced a reckless pilot would put a bullet hole in a plane and cause people to be sucked out their death. Guess they have never noticed the basketball size outflow valve on the outside of the plane.

What always amazes me is how many people get on planes and have no idea of how they even fly..............including my wife recently..........she asked me on a flight to Boston.
