Anybody out there have any advice on what to study for the aviation and nautical portion of the ASTB? I've found a lot of information on what to study but there's just soooo damn much stuff. I seriously have pages and pages of information. If someone could tell me some of the more relevant stuff to study it would be much appreciated.

There was a gouge sheet floating around out there a long time ago which was pretty good. Basically know the parts of a basic light aircraft, and know a little bit about boats

I agree with wildcat on atrickpay's study sheets. I also read this, http://www.faa.gov/library/manuals/aviation/pilot_handbook/ which provides everything you'll need for the flight section. I also had some history and other military flight aircraft questions. If you have ever watched the Discovery Wings channel before it became the Military Channel than you should be fine.

if you have bittorrent, download the Jeppessen Private Pilot DVD set. Or fork over a couple hundo for them at a shop somewhere. I got 3 or 4 easy answers on my ASTB directly from the material on these DVDs.

Alright, sweet gouge. Got my ASTB this coming Friday, I'll post my scores as soon as i get em.

Oh and I couldn't ever get the Jeppessen to play because of the format or some crap

By the way, does anybody know how long your scores are actually valid for?

Read Bowditch and you'll be golden.
