Hi I am new at this so I hope that I did it right, I am looking at taking the ATSB test to try to be a pilot in the Navy, and I had a question about the math questions that are on the test. Are there any Trigonometry questions or Calculus questions in the test, Like sin, cos, tan, Derivatives or related rates and that type of questions?

Thanks

Hmmm, the test I tood at the San Diego NRD had some trig questions on it, but this was fairly basic. Most improtatnt, for the technical ?'s are the applied stuff. Review your basic phyics if you havent already.

Good luck,

Bryce

Hi J,

I cant relate basis my ACUTAL experience on the ASVAB because I was never enlisted, but from what I saw in study books for the ASVAB (and there are a H%# of a lot more ASVAT books than ASTB books on the market) the ASVAB look quite a bit simpler. The ASTB seems to be converng more general areas of aptitude on a collegiate level rather than remedial education and applied vocations. Like I said previously I was struck by the number of physcis problems and which I presume constituted the Math of the math verbal as well as the Mechanical Comprehension subjects.

Hope this helps, good luck, when are you taking the exam.

Bryce
