I have been studying the Gouge, ARCO, and Cliff notes for the test and there are only 4 test sections on the practice tests. However, talked with my OSO today and he said there are 6 sections. Does that mean that they divided up the Math and Reading and the Aviation and Nautical sections??? If anyone can tell me what all 6 are and what they cover that would be awesome. my OSO was not sure. Thanks for the help.

I know there are more than 4 sections.... lets see if I can recall them (not in any particular order):

1. math
2. reading comp
3. spacial apperception
4. mechanical comp
5. aviation/nautical terms
6. aviation suppliment (this section is basically a subset of questions from all the previous sections except spacial apperception. Not the same exact questions, but similar ones).
 
Don't freak on the ATSB... I used the ARCO book and passed, and I'm half retarded. It's quite easy... Good luck.

I should be getting my scores back for my first test very soon, damned pencil and paper version suck waiting.
 
ASTB and OCS

This is off topic but I have noticed that mostly everyone in the ASTB forums are trying to get pilot slots through OCS. In my NROTC battalion I really do not here other mids worrying over ASTB scores to the same extent. I know the minimum is somethind like straight 4s and many mids have gotten pilot slots with just that minimum. I am curious about the scores needed to get pilot slots through OCS these days. Seems very very comepetitive.
