ASTB Cancelled - CAC Card

I had my ASTB scheduled for Friday, and it was cancelled because a CAC Card wasn't activated. The guy who was needed to activate it, won't be available until Tuesday. Is there anyone that can explain what this means and why it happened?

A CAC card is needed to use the ASTB computer. There are many NRDs, including mine that are running into issues getting the software and hardware to log people in. You're not the only one here.
 
Yeah, they'll try to tell you that the NMC in NMCI stands for Navy/Marine Corps, but really NMCI stands for non-mission-capable internet.
 
whoa………MIDN (or applicants in general) need CAC cards now? I used to have a green reservist card that said "non-PO" because my local admin folks didn't understand what a midshipman was, not that the rank title they gave was necessarily inaccurate :)

Not applicants, but recruiters or processors use a CAC to log onto the ASTB computer.
