Has anyone gone? How hard is it for the non-traditional officers to go (i.e. NOT SEAL or combat medic)?

Short Answer: Once commissioned, it's pretty much impossible, because you're considered to be "in the pipeline", and they don't want you doing anything that can screw you up physically (broken ankle, ACL, knee injuries). You might see officers with jump wings, and usually they have them from prior enlisted service or they went to jump school during the summer while at an academy (no longer an option for nrotc).

They used to send guys from all services through some schools, including jump school, to then go on to do something with Anglico. There was a really good article about it in Proceedings years ago (like early 90's). That program died out though.
