Arco MVT math a little too wordy?

Is it me or is the Arco math portions extremely wordy in the MVT. I don't remember to many "math word problems" in the actual ASTB. Am I losing my mind? Do you guys remember there being a lot of them? (Sorry to be a pain, I'm just a lot better at regular math, lol)
