April Boards.... NFO/SNA Applicants

Whats up guys? So I thought I could post here to see who else is applying for the April boards, which happens to be the word on the street. According to some things that I have read and heard, it looks like something will be happening in about a week or two.

Figured I could create this also to set up some communication among other applicants so we can get somewhat of an approximate number of people applying for NFO/SNA slots, and check out each others stats leading up to this board. This can also be a place for results for everyone following the board. Here are my stats:
  • 23 years Old
  • East Carolina University Graduate-2012 B.S in Geographic Information Science and Technology (2.95)...first in the program, was a regular Dean's List student before my senior fall semester, up until the point I had surgery on my knee, and before got into 2 major accidents... bounced back from it however, and finished my senior semester on the Deans List.
  • 45 OAR 6 PFAR/5 FOFAR/4 AQR (and yes, I understand this is low, but I'm still going to try. I have faith...strong believer in Christ :) )
  • Put in for NFO/SWO/SNA/Oceano...in that order specifically.
  • Eagle Scout with two Eagle Palms, Vigil rank attained in Order of the Arrow, ArrowCorps5 National Service Project attendee-Bridger-Teton, Wyoming
  • LORs: U.S Congressman/2 Lt. Colonels (A.F)/1 Major (A.F)/ Chairman of my Board of Commissioners/Outstanding Work References
  • Highly active in the community- Brought together consortium of community individuals to create a 5-mile green, linear park in our community to solve issues with pedestrians and bicyclists getting injured along roadways; and to use as a community tool to help keep Seymour Johnson A.F.B from getting on the BRAC list, Crossfit Lvl. 1 Trainer at a local highschool, and assistant Scout Leader.
  • Physical activity: Crossfit 6x a week, run in 5,8,10k road races and mud runs every other weekend. Had a prior injury with my right knee, but I have it cleared up...no issues with it to this day.
Hope to hear from other prospective applicants as well! Gotta stay motivated guys! Good luck, and God Bless!

Delta215 is correct. We do already have a thread for this. With that being said, my OR told me last Friday that as the packages are submitted they are being reviewed and results are being sent out. My Kit was sent up-line last Thursday so hopefully i will know soon. 24 year old/Prior Sergeant of Marines E-5 applying for Pilot and NFO!

thanks Marpat! I already knew there was a thread running... I have no iota why I decided to run another thread lol. I guess it was just to get a master list of all stats going into this thing. But good luck!!!

Hey man I had a 50 OAR and a 5/6/5. I was told by many that it was a low score and that I should retake the exam. I was picked up for NFO in last months board and it was also my first time applying. Word in the street is that they are looking to fill more Pilot and NFO billets.

Thats awesome man! Was that the March board then? Did you already get your OCS date? I have a lot of questions, I feel like I am riding a roller coaster, and have so many more questions then answers.

Yeah it was the March Board and I do have my OCS date already, I will be going Jul 14. If you have any questions please feel free to ask, and sorry for the late response I am currently deployed somewhere in the middle of the ocean.
