Does anyone know anything about Camden Breakers Apartments?

I'm trying to decide between Compass bay on the island and Camden Breakers. The pics of both look great and I've heard nothing but good things about Comapss Bay
 
you guys are on crack... 27 was a lot better. besides, it ups your chances of getting jets.
 
We lived in Summer House Apts. Off Staples by the Car-isma car wash. Quiet, small, adult community. Cheap too.

I've been in both....both are very nice. I would lean toward Compass Bay, the traffic around Camden can get crazy at times and I'm a firm advocate of Island Living!
 
The big advantage of 28 (at least a couple months ago) was that you had a pretty good chance of not being double pumped everyday in RI sims. Every 27 guy I hung out with got the RI sim double pump love 9 times out of 10, where as 28 bubbas maybe 3 or 4 out of 10.

ohhh and the whole not standing duty in khakis was a big bennie :icon_wink

I was in 28 and I got double pumped through the sims. I thought it was a good thing though as I finished the last 10 sims in a week. I got in there and got them over with instead of stretching them out for two weeks. Two sims took about the same amount of time as one actual flight, including the longer brief, maintainance, preflight, ect.. and its not like you have alot of new stuff to learn for each sim either, so the days weren't all that long. If RI's are clicking in your brain housing group, then I would suggest requesting to get double pumped through them. Of course that works both ways and if you have any problems don't hesitate to talk to your flight leader and get them to slow you down.

My SO lived on the island and generally preferred it overall. Away from all the strip malls and chaos of the town. Granted it makes coordinating to go out downtown at night a little hard. But I'd say having the beach right there for running and chilling was good.

And for those romantic evennings spent watching the oil platforms and smelling the sweet aroma of crude...

The beaches here suck ... but the island is still the place to be. And pray that we don't get a hurricane coz it would only take a cat one storm to destroy this place ;)
 
Very true, although we joked that from a distance the lights on the towers and beams could be mistaken for the skyline of a financial district in a major city. Obviously definitely not the case in CC.

I will say that the Marines seemed to always get the shaft(or not depending on how much you are feelin RI's) but the Navy studs seemed to be on a differnet game plan. Marine studs were go go go...very little waiting. Navy was hit or miss...some times go go go...sometimes you were waiting for some unknown reason
