I wish they would send us a stub at least telling us how much we got paid and how much they took out in taxes.

You can access all of that information online. I think it is https://mypay.dfas.mil/mypay.aspx. There is an option to have a hard copy mailed to you, but I've been in the system for almost a year and have yet to get anything in the mail. I think the statements are actually being sent to my NRD which is 100 miles away. You could talk to someone in a PSD office if you have one close by, they handle all of the pay issues there.

Good luck, let me know if there's any other questions you may have.

BDCP Crypto, OCS - July 9, 2005
Yup :icon_bigg That's why BDCP is so cool...during the school year I can at least say that I'm paid to get good grades, but in the summer I'm just paid to do nothing...

Just wondering if anyone else is using Navy Federal Credit Union. I have NavyFCU and I didn't have pay deposited today; I was just wondering if it is to early in the day or if they dont have my pay stuff together and I have to wait another 2 weeks? I was under the impression that it would click over at midnight

I use USAA. When I started getting direct deposits they went in on or before the 1st/15th. Like today, my USAA account shows that I received an Automatic Clearing House (ACH) deposit from DFAS Cleveland. The transaction is dated June 14, and I saw yesterday (the 14th) that the transaction was "pending."

So I guess I can't exactly answer your question since you're with another financial institution, but my direct deposit has gone through already.

I went to DFAS.mil and started the sign up process to be able to look at my records... and it recognized my SSN, so I'm assuming I am in the system.

Did they cut you a paper check for the first few times or did you start out with direct deposit?

I got direct deposit first, followed by back pay in the form of a paper check. I was supposed to get the paper check first, but it got lost in the mail or something. I suspect that it was sent to my NRD and THEY lost it. I had to sign this form saying that I had never received it before DFAS would cut me another one. Something about how if I cashed both they would come after me and all... I just wanted my freaking check, no more. You should look and see if you can register for "MyPay." If you can get in, you can look at what is called your "Leave and Earnings Statement," or LES. It is like a paystub and shows your net pay, taxes, and accumulated leave. It would show you if a check had been cut and how much it was for. Does all that make sense? Let me know if you've got more questions.

Can marines get involved in the BDCP program? If so, how do they go about doing that??
No, unfortunately for you, BDCP is strictly a Navy thing. The Corps MAY offer a little bit of tuition assistance or reimbursement, but to my knowledge that is it. If you are PLC you will get paid while at OCS, but it is nowhere near what BDCPers make because we are paid all year long. I don't know why it is strictly a Navy thing, or why all the Armed Forces can't have more closely aligned budgets for that kind of thing, but I guess when they are competing for quality candidates they try to distinguish themselves. But anyway, the simple answer to your question is no, BDCP is Navy only.

Ben-
MyPay recognizes my SSN, but I have to mail some info in to get registered. So I believe I'm in the system. I guess I'll fire an email off to my NRD to tell them to keep an eye out for my check.
