USNA Class of 2008
Hehe, I was PO'd at first but I'm not even really sweating it now, it just means a bit of a longer summer break for me ;) Besides, I'm just gonna enroll as a non-admitted and take like 1 intro eng. course at UNLV then take math283 and eng phys 1 at community, so it just means I'll have more time to focus on calc3 and eng physics 1 = A's for those classes woohoo

The minimum amount of units to apply is 30 semester units which then translates into 3 years of school left and then 36 months. Plus that what my recruiter told me. And it also says so on a military website i.e.

http://www.cnrc.navy.mil/noru/orojt/generalofficer.htm

Click on BDCP.
You do need a technical major for 36 months of BDCP but I am a Computer Science major so I am eligible.

hmm, I stand corrected, I thought for the last year that it was 30 months, which is why I started to applied in December.

i've read that it's 24 months for non-technical majors, which seems strange to me because i dont see what the difference is.

I'm at the 3.0 GPA mark right now but I'm gonna hang and apply for '06 graduation after fall semester so I can work a bit more on my fitness and maybe drag my GPA up a bit further.

Technical Degrees include: all Engineering, Architecture, Aeronautics, Operations Research/Systems Analysis/Operations Analysis, Meteorology/Climatology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Metallurgy, Mathematics, Computer Science (Math Oriented), Physics, Astronomy, Physical Sciences, and Statistics.
I know there's some Riddle students on these boards, does this mean that Aeronautical Science is a Technical Major? I've heard otherwise and I was hoping someone could confirm either way.
