another question about nfo's in the fleet

so what sorts of jobs do nfo's typically get on a second sea tour? can they be landing signal officers, or is that a pilot-only gig?

NFO's can get pretty much all the same jobs as pilots. LSO is a pilot ONLY job. For the most part second sea tours are supposed to be your "disassociated sea tour." This means that you are in a non-flying billet.

-CV/CVN jobs (AOPS/ASTK/ANAV/AAOPS/Shooter/Etc)
-Flag staff (COMCARGRU/DESRON/ETC)
-CAG Staff
-Some get flying jobs but only if you are needed and you are highly qualified (FRS as Shore duty then roll into a super JO Sea tour).

Overall, EXPECT to go to sea.
