Hey-
I'm just finishing my second year at the University of Central Florida doing a degree in Computer Science with a Math minor and I'm looking to do BDCP. I'm not looking to do aviation, but this forum looked like it had more than a few members who had some experience with BDCP.
I actually talked to a recruiter about this about a year ago and started the application process before he told me that I would have to wait until I was 24 months from graduation (i.e. now) unless I wanted to do Nuclear Engineering. I'm looking to probably go for an Intelligence or Information Warfare designator.
I just emailed the recruiter again today to tell him that I wanted to begin the application process, but I wanted to see if anyone here had some more advice about doing this. I had a few more specific questions, but I seem to have forgotten what they were for the most part. Can anyone recommend a good guide to study for the ASTB? Is it really necessary to study for it? I did fairly well on the standardized aptitude tests back in high school (1420 combined SAT on the 1600 point scale, 218 of 240 combined points on the PSAT), so part of me thinks that I could just take the test with little preparation.
Thanks
