It looks like my Para Carry 6.45 LDA.

No I think it's a true 1911.

I can't think of a real reason to ever manually cock the trigger on a 1911

The safest way to carry a 1911 is cocked/locked with safey on...

It may look like the Para, but unless I'm mistaken it is still a single action - right? Haven't had the opportunity to try one yet, but I think its time to take a trip to the range, looks like a very nice little Kimber. Already own one extended capacity 14 round full size, and I think its time to add another one myself... Nice buy feddoc!

It adds dramatic effect in the movies even though every person in the audiance with any knowledge of 1911's is screaming at the screen "GOD Dammit! Take the weapon! He cant shoot it like that!"

Said that a few times 'till my wife got irritated telling me it was just a movie. Bought her a 1911, got her into shooting, 1,000rds later I caught her saying the same thing the other night:D

I forgot to add that later the same day I saw and touched a $27K gun safe. I had to look twice at the price tag. $26,995.00.

I never had the nerve to ask the guy why it cost so much....couldn't have been the size; it was no bigger than my Ft. Knox. The slightly smaller size was only $16K.
