Another Ear Question

So my entire life, I've had some problems with my Eustachian tubes. When I was very little, i had ear tubes, and again when I was in high school. I found out the condition I have/had? is called Otitis media with effusion (possibly) . It's when there is fluid behind the ear drum and it sometimes effects the pressure changes.

Now whenever I've had to clear my ears, I can do that fine, but the right ear doesn't have quite the same "pop" as the left. My hearing isn't as good, but I passed the DoDMERB standards three years ago. The last appointment I had with my ENT doc, he said everything was all good, but i've been too afraid to go back to him in case it is not and it gets documented. I stated ear problem in my history on DoDMERB but apparently everything checked out.

I know Otitis Media by itself, which is inflammation of the Middle Ear/Middle Ear infectin is disqualifying, but I don't have that, apparently my tube doesn't work that well, no inflammation, just some fluid with poor drainage.

Does any doc on here have any familiarity with Otitis media with effusion?

Can anyone tell me anything more about this thing in regards to MEPS, NAMI, ect.?

Thanks and I appreciate the help!

Were you ever diagnosed with OM?

The ENT doc said you were good....what is there to worry about?

I had a guy about 6 months ago who had tubes put in his ears two or three times up to the age of 14 or 15, along with that was documention of ear infections, no diagnosis of any other disorder and the current N3M doc disqualified him for a chronic history of ear infections. It all depends what is in the meddocs and how N3M reads them.
