Air Force News Story

A new battle cry has been heard around the ranges and barracks here.

Instead of the all too familiar ‘HOOAH,’ a strange and new guttural chant is catching on -- ‘AIRRP!’ The men and women who use the new phrase, which means ‘air power,’ are taking part in a joint effort which teaches Army skills to Airmen.

From now on, everytime I pickle I'm going to yell, "AIRRP" over the ICS.

...Or maybe not.

Sergeant Thomas, who has been in the Air Force for 20 years, describes the training as being more hands on and more intense than regular Air Force training.

“It’s a new twist because some things that we’re used to having, we can’t have all the time … like heat and nice barracks,” Sergeant Thomas said.

“It’s a little more basic,” Sergeant Wilson said. “I’m glad to be in the Air Force.”

Those have got to be my favorite lines in the article. Reminds me again how sissy the AF is.

Umm . . . Eglin AFB has to take the cake as the WORST Q I have ever stayed in. Screw drywall, they just wallpapered the cinderblocks . . .

I found pubes all over the bathroom when I went in the room. I felt cleaner having not taken a shower there.

Mine just had painted cinderblocks, but I seem to have made it thru alright.

I thought the Brunswick BOQ was pretty nice, but then again Hickam's did blow it away.

Any AF Q is WAY better than the USMC Q's... Unless you're in Quantico, you're sharing a head with someone... It sucks when you wake up after a night of drinking needing to p!ss your brains out, and your head mate forgot to unlock the door. And is gone for the day. Then you have to get dressed and walk to the lobby...
