Can anybody give me the name or a place of a good mechanic in the P-cola area that won't rip me off? I think my car needs a new clutch, and the last time I took my car to a mechanic down here, it was for a routine oil change and they tried to sucker me into $500 worth of repairs!!! I'm afraid anywhere I go is going to try and do the same thing.

Try the mechanic aboard NASP. If they do not do the service you require, they could probably recommend a good mechanic!

try Atkinsons BP on Scenic Hwy, next to the bayou texar pier and across from jerry's drive in. I grew up in p'cola and they are good honest people.

Yeah, it was the worst! Have you ever heard that prank call from a radio station where they posed as a mechanic looking this one girls car? They told her that she needed new headlight fluid, and that she should pay the extra money for the xenon fluid because it's better quality. They also told her that her car had no transmission and that they wanted to put two in so she could go in reverse. I felt like that's what Orville-Beckford was trying to pull on me!

It's a little out of the way, but Perdido Key Auto Hospital gave me a fair deal.
