Hello everyone this is my first post, Ive been a long time reader and wanted to ask the forum if I'm on the right track towards obtaining a 4 year NROTC Marine option scholarship.
Currently a junior in highschool
3.6 gpa
all honors
top 20% of class
took SAT for the 1st time and got 600 critical reading and 550 on math.
I read on their website that I have gotten past the minimum scores, but are they competitive?
2 years varsity wrestling
FFA and raising livestock(possibly becoming officer senior year)
strong involvement in local gun club and range
working 25+ hours a week
high PFT score, got my run down to sub 20 mins.
Am i competitive?
I have also heard Marine option 4 year scholarships are much harder to come by compared to Navy option. Is this true?
Thank you for the time and any advice/ass chewing.
