0-1 Salary

I was wondering...is it true that if an 0-1 lives on base in BOQ his/her salary ranges from about 26,000 to 27,000/year.

Base Pay: $2183.70
BAS: $167.20

Knock off about 20-25% for taxes (rough figure, I know it exactly, but it differs per person)

If you live off-base you get BAH: $644.00

Not for me =) I've been in it since 09AUG00 and it counts towards retirement...if I stay in that long.

it gets better. Let's say you did leave college and start a job with a 6 figure salary. I'd sacrifice $75,000/year to have my job be my favorite pass time any day.
