Ideally, the mentioning of taking anxiety meds would have never taken place. I remember doing a "SEAL Mentor Session" where the retired Senior Chief said something to the group like.. "I don't care if ya'll are pot smokers it's not going on your application." Didn't apply to me but I got his point.

Since the cats out of the bag, I'd focus on getting all paperwork regarding the prescription and a note from the prescribing doctor outlining why it was prescribed, the fact that you didn't take it long, or even that it wasn't really needed. An OCS classmate of mine got pinged for blood pressure meds that he didn't take. The fact that he was able to get the doctor to write a note saying the prescription probably wasn't needed anyway got him passed that. Presenting the narrative to MEPS is the goal.

That is how recruiters end up getting bounced out of the USN, that retired SCPO should not be mentoring kids if he is telling people to lie, his statement put every recruiters career in jeopardy that heard him make that statement.

So here is me being blunt, I have had close family die unexpectedly, and die after a long painful illness, I have also had long term girlfriend end a relationship, even some significant marriage issues (all good now) and while it is stressful some of the items I had to deal with in my job in the USN made some of those items seem not that stressful. The USN is full of stress and some you have little control over, there was a stretch of a few months where it was rare for me to get more than 3 hours of sleep in a row, and that wears on you.

What you experienced may have been a one time thing, or maybe a different doctor would have been able to help you without meds, either way a doctor will review your records and decide your fate, and that could be anything from a perm DQ or just waiting a few years.

No no no, one thousand times no.
Lying is not ok in our business. @Hammer10k: that was bad gouge.
If an applicant fails to mention an issue, he takes the decision of whether or not that issue is an acceptable risk out of the hands of professionals trained to make those decisions. That is not ok for the OP's well-being, and far less ok for the Sailors or Marines he may cross paths with later on in his career.

Hey, the only thing I would said that wasn't quite the truth was that every woman I put in the USN was so hot they could have been a model but my charm convinced them to join the USN
