Blue ink? In the military? Next thing someone will tell me it can write lower case letters.

Plus, $25 for a shitty ballpoint pen?

It's far from being a shitty ballpoint pen, and the version I have comes with black and red ink. I usually change the red for another black, since I have no desire to be signing or marking things in red.

No kidding? Color me surprised that skilcraft, makers of the FOD bomb, made a good pen. I withdrawal my “shitty pen” comment.

$400 would be tops.

If I had 400 to spend on a watch id probably be looking at a seiko. Orient also has some nice watches as well that I’m a fan of. Bertucci also makes some nice all titanium watches that have a good field aesthetic to them. Citizen has some “pilots watches” but I always found their dials to be overly busy that’s just me, their watches will hold up as my wife has had one that I got her for over a decade and it’s still going strong. There are lots of other smaller brands as well at that price point. For instance I occasionally look at steinhart watches, they have a good collection of divers and fliegers that are classic looking. Or look at watches on huckberry.com or filter your results at jomashop.com as a starting point.

Any pros or cons to the new iWatch 3 with Cellular & GPS ???

I have it (so I'm not not just rocking the crappy Casio at least mad dog :D).

It's pretty comfortable and definitely handy for integrating phone displays into your watch if that's something you want.

One thing to look out for is it's $70ish more up front to get it with cellular plus a separate $10/month / $120/yr. data plan just for the watch if you get it with cellular when there's no difference at all if you're within I think it's 40 feet (maybe yards) of your phone between the cellular-equipped watch and the regular iWatch 3. Which since my phone's always on me I didn't think was worth the hassle/cost.

I have yet to see a smartwatch actually worth owning and using - that wasn't a gimmick I would tire of in a week. And I am a techie!

It really depends on what you want in a watch. I find a lot of the features pretty convenient but I agree a lot of people would get tired of it PDQ. It tracks activity pretty well, you can customize your display screens, it does weather etc., when you get messages/emails it's pretty nice to have it pop up on your wrist when you're doing something and see if it's bull or something important you need to take the phone out to respond to right away and things like that.

If it’s not windable and/or it doesn’t tick...it’s crap. :D

That is all. :D
