Somebody’s triggered...

Triggered… No. Libertarian...as in I don’t give a fuck what someone else does...especially when it has zero impact on me.

That’s cool. I’m sure everyone’s glad you decided to share your feelings on the topic.

Or maybe I just dont like people like shitting on fellow servicemembers who are fighting the good fight-albeit in a different way.

Lastly-I think it’d be worse facing your wife and kids after a day of killing then it would be going back to the FOB
Would make for interesting talk at the dinner table when the wife is telling you about how bad her day was that day.

Just because some one says an individual or community doesn’t need a merit badge is in no way “shitting” on them. You need to chill the fuck out and take some Xanax.

The going home thing. Maybe the mental transition IS difficult for the remote pilot. Is it more difficult than going back to a CHU and getting rocketed or mortared? Ehhh. Probably not. Probably only someone who has experienced this both in person and remotely could say for sure which is worse. I've got to put my money that doing it up close and personal is going to be worse. But again, PTSD award or put-yourself-in-danger award?

Both suck.

Honestly, I preferred a cigar and a scotch with the group while watching the IZ sunrise or the AFG first light hit the mountains. F the incoming...if I were gonna get it in my hootch...I rather be sleeping (although one time I did decide to crawl under my rack, which looking back was F-ing worthless).

Actually saw a real Marine (Major) wearing a real pair of UAS pilot wings at AUSA yesterday. At first glance I thought he was an NFO but quickly realized the shield was different. They look good. Also looked at a number of remarkable unmanned aerial systems.

I'm not gonna lie, first time ever seeing these and my immediate thought was they drew inspiration from Star Trek or Starship Troopers.
Service guarantees citizenship in Starfleet. I'm doing my part in the alpha quadrant.
