Ran into this one as I was suitcasing my milcomp ratings recently: How do most FAA examiners look at XC time for the ATP? Does flying many miles followed by an RTB count (e.g. combat, most range transits, etc.), or is an actual point of landing >50nm from the point of origin required? If the latter, are a lot of fighter guys getting issued an ATPr initially, and does this affect a candidate's hiring score?

Maybe I just need to take a jet on the road more! (I definitely want to...)

For T-45 and F-18, log everything as cross country that is not FCLP or GCA box. For T-34 I logged only actual cross countries as cross country.

Anything where you flew more than 50 miles, so basically everything. No reason not to scam more cross countries though.

121 and corporate are completely different animals. Most airline guys would never put up with the shit that comes with a corporate job.

In other news, United Captain personally conducting cabin safety brief to First class passengers and handing out route chart - again for First Class cabin folks. He knows what side his bread is buttered on!

I can see @HAL Pilot doing this ?
