Awesome. I've been on a couple CQs where the French were flying from our boat, but never when CDG was around. Any procedural differences? Did they send any Airwing paddles over to wave, or was it all frog?

We did fly the big man out, plus making regular hits in addition to our normal responsibilities to the ol' Carl.

Brett327; the differences are just enough to make it weird; they break at 600', depart at 300', etc. They have their own versions of case II and III but its similar in spirit. No aacs or acls; It's easy enough for us....they usually have the pattern emptied out before we get there. They treat us well and typically give us bags upon bags of French bread to take back to our guys!

We always bring CAG paddles and a shooter when there are US birds on their deck, helo'd on earlier in the day

Trolling youtube today and found this gem - some old school HMS Ark Royal ops - Phantoms and even a deck spotting Buccaneer.

...............................that's what you get when you fly two Spitfires through a piano factory in close formation.

From VT-6's facebook page:

"This was the video played on the jumbotron at the NAS Corpus Christi Aviator Memorial Appreciation Night at the Corpus Christi Hooks game recently. It was designed to raise awareness to our cause and to honor those aviators that have lost their lives in service to our Country. Hope you enjoy it!"
