Outstanding footage of long range assault via 53E's - and look at the cool mobile device (Android) tech highlighted in the assault - was not aware mobile devices/phones are commonplace kit now in operations. Wondering what kind of devices there are? Who is the vendor?

Also who is the chick sitting in the crew seat at the beginning?

BLUF - The chick is a USMC vendor rep for the flight portion of the USMC "Tactical Service Orientated Architecture." The system is fairly new but allows Marines to download certain apps for tactical planning. What you are seeing in the video is both the "Small Unit Decision Aids" and "Mobile Patrol Planning and Assessment Tool." The overall idea is to allow all the players to share information seamlessly across the operation spectrum in a single app environment.

But hey, why let me screw up the explanation when a cartoon can do the job better!

Down at Red River Army Depot lookin' at some heavy steel when I stumbled across this oldster at an Army Surplus store of all places...aardvarks were pretty cool.
