Tattoo Screening

Hello,

I have an elephant tattoo on my risk and need to get screened for it to put it in my package... Does any one that is located in the San Diego Area, can direct me to the write location. I have called the OR and also my CCC. I already filled out the form and list everything about my tattoos but just wanted to know where to turn it into and if I have to take a picture of the tattoo to send in with the form...

Elephant tattoos shouldn't be risky, but I assume you mean your wrist? :) Have you gotten a waiver yet? I believe your OR should be able to field your questions. At least mine did about any waiverable matters.

San Diego Area

Ah, how I miss gulpin' Sculpins straight from the source! I can't wait to go back. Good luck!

I don't think he/she even needs a waiver with the new tattoo policy (which even allows sleeves and hand tattoos). I believe the only things off limits now are anything on the head or anything larger than 1 square inch on the neck.

Your officer recruiter will tell you everything you need to know. I got in with a half-sleeve visible in khakis, so I think you'll be fine.

Sorry about the Typo on my initial post; however, I am in the Navy and trying to apply for OCS. I just wanted to know due to the fact that the new instructions come out in regards to tattoo waivers and since the application states to get one I was, wondering if I still need to submit a waiver base on where my tattoos are located. COC/CCC are not sure so that's why I am inquiring to see if anyone knows more about it. I do thank you for your response.
