Ribbons look to be in the correct order although the devices on them are AFU.

I went to OCS with a guy who had 7 Air Medals.

It actually looks like the ribbons were done by ribbon rack builder service, some them put devices on ribbons like that.

@picklesuit You should have Mrs. Pickle post that on the Whidbey Facebook page.
Meh, not quite the way I want to handle that. I reached out to the woman who was in the group, got the full story. Three (good looking) women hiking at Erie, in their Lululemons, made the top and went to overlook. This guy was there, I think he got a little too excited and was trying to hit on them, poorly.

Mrs. Pickle offered to speak with base security, and gave the ladies the proper contact info to pursue further, but they declined. At this point, no reason for a random O-4 dependa to flame spray a guy on FB.

Why would you consider base security? Did the guy commit a crime? I know chicks get weirded out in these situations, but that seems way over the top. I’m glad they declined.

The initial report to the Mrs. was that he was aggressively trying to give them a ride back down the hill. If this guy was pulling creeper shit in uniform a nice discussion from Whidbey’s finest would let him know he was on their radar.

If not, then maybe he’d rethink his actions.

I wasn’t there, so that was their options. Either say something to someone (you know, that whole “see something/say something” we preach) or ignore him.

Ball was in their court, they chose to ignore him. If they come back 35 years from now saying nobody offered them help, that’s on them.

I wouldn’t want to take them away from their pressing duties writing tickets for 27 in a 25 and harassing Sailors around the barracks...

Has that been your experience with security, because I have found the vast majority of them to be very reasonable and professional. There was a problem with one of the civilian cops who was overly aggressive. He didn’t last long.

Base security treats you differently than an Airman.

That may or may not be, but my CMC and I were pretty plugged in to the deckplates. If it was an issue, it would have come up. The times when my Sailors have had run ins with security, they have been very professional and helpful. NASWI isn’t Norfolk.

Any AF folks know if the USAFA offered in the past, or currently, a program for Astronaut? Met a guy who said he went to the USAFA to be an astronaut, but was DQ'd for vision, so he went intel. Lots of gaps in his AF stories too . . . .
