That's unfortunate that we will have to buy two sets of NWUs in less than a year for those of us who are heading to OCS.

The wear-out date on the Type I's isn't until October 2018. So you'll be able to get some use out of them before then.

I read back in the 200s that you don't need to bring anything other than what you brought to MEPs. Bringing anything other you sent to MEPs will raise some red flags. So your medical file essentially starts when you show up to OCS.

I brought the clothes I was wearing and my orders. Anything else will just sit in the lucky bag room for three months.

Believe me, that is the last thing you will have time for at OCS (especially the first 9 weeks). While you get some "free time" in the evenings, it is almost always occupied by: class drill practice, studying, polishing your boots, preparing for upcoming inspections, hygiening, etc. If you have a Big 4 billet (Pres, VP, Med Body, and Adj) you have even more stuff to do.
