SNA Salary

I'm getting ready to commission in the next few months here, and I've been seeing a lot of different numbers and salaries being thrown around for a newly commissioned SNA... am I to expect base ensign pay, with something like ~$125 for flight pay, plus whatever BAH in Pensacola is? I'm trying to get a grip on being a real person in the real world, so I figure I should at least have my finances down before anything else...

I promise I have, quite a bit!! Couldn't quite find anything recent enough that really helped or even addressed the topic, which seemed surprising because this definitely seems like a question that a lot of people would be curious about...any suggestions on where to look?

Base pay, BAH, BAS, and flight pay once you check into your Primary squadron.

Have you even bothered with Google yet? The top results for:

- 2016 Military pay - http://www.dfas.mil/militarymembers/payentitlements/military-pay-charts.html
- BAH - http://www.pensacolanavalhousing.com/bah.php
- BAS Military - http://militarybenefits.info/2016-bas-basic-allowance-for-subsistence-rates/
- Flight Pay - http://www.military.com/benefits/military-pay/special-pay/flight-pay.html

Seriously, how hard was that? The only thing I will grant you is you should be looking at .gov or .mil sites and not .com sites. Here is the DoD site for pay, it should answer all your questions:

http://militarypay.defense.gov/

You're welcome.

basically put OP... your basic pay, until you get flight pay, is going to be 52,356. As someone who lives in Florida currently, this is a great salary in Pensacola. Since there is nothing to do in Pensacola, you should be pocketing it away and investing it.... this way you can eventually make bad decisions like buying an old muscle car haha.

spring break is a great time, but that whole region slows down like crazy after that. Went to school in Tallahassee haha.

Flight school in Pensacola is a gift. Enjoy every second, the suck will come soon enough shortly thereafter . . . . .
