Got the iPhone 4s. Foreflight is the shit
Good choice. I pad is a winner also. 480 bucks for the iPad 3 at the nex. Especially in 45's where they do not give you a natops. I pad is an insant 1 pound copy. Or like in my debrief my ip emailed me a copy of the LSO natops so I could see more of the lingo. Welcomed convenience

You don't get a copy of the t-45 natops? Is that a standard practice? or just for the t 45? I was under the impression that you always get one, well a UNCLASS for you and a Classified that stays in the vault( when applicable ).

<3 both my Ipad and my 4gs .. although I feel sometimes Siri requires you to talk like a hipster for her to understand commands. Apparently my "Floridian" (aka no accent) annunciations don't fit the bill sometimes. And BTW to the OP no, the schedules are never in stone until usually the night before.. So it gives you a nice piece of mind to check while pooping/playing words with friends.

You just put a "<3" in your post? That's a definite manlaw violation in my book.

There's also a study guide app called Aviator Gouge. It's mostly flashcards made out of the API study questions. Of course you could always just get the pubs for free when you check in or from the NASC website.

I would take most API gouge with a grain of salt, especially on an app. Most of the practice tests in the "Coastie Gouge" that's supposedly so great had at least three or four wrong questions.

+1 to that...Coming from someone who loves to cut corners this is balls on... I learned this lesson the hard way, and fortunately early when I was in API. got blasted on Aero 1. Most of that gouge for API is like trying to sift for gold in a pile of shit. A lot of student cultivated questions and as this guy said quite a few wrong questions. Just suck it up study the hell out of those books for a few weeks and get it done. Club lib was in full effect.

Hey homie, at least in IFS and API, all electronic devices except for the lame calculators they give you are strictly prohibited in the building--ie, you could literally be kicked out of the program if they feel like being extra douchy that day.

A smart phone for API and primary isn't worth it, but a smart phone because it gives you unprecidented access to information wherever you go, is.

Of course buddy, I'll put some stuff together and send you it tomorrow. Do you know when you might get orders? Any ETA?

Negative on orders/ETA. Commission tomorrow morning. I guess I'll have to be stashed down here and enjoy the sunshine, women and booze. Ugh, woe is me ;)
