Should we switch some of the Carrier Strike Groups back to full Battle Groups?

If only some organization with analytical rigor would look into this in a quantitative fashion instead of folks with no CVN or CVW experience vying for attention with their opinions.

Also, Hendrix RT'd Jack Pobosiec yesterday....., so there's that.
Hendrix blocked me on Twitter months ago after I repeatedly pointed out his many misconceptions about TACAIR and CV Ops. Frankly, I'm amazed that he hasn't been offered a prominent position in the current administration. He's that qualified.

Wanted to ask him if he'd heard of AirWarriors.com. . .

Somewhat better of an analytical perspective (though still not as good as RAND's in my opinion): https://csbaonline.org/research/pub...ea-transforming-the-u.s.-navys-carrier-air-wi

Some of their metrics are just.... goofy. Such as a graph showing range*payload / spot factor over the last 75 years. Just poor.

Also, they thank a series of retired RADMs and a retired CAPT for assistance in the intro who are: Director of Advanced Programs at Northrop Grumman, a VP at General Atomics, and USMC Program Director (formerly MQ-25 Program Director) at GA. (Those titles aren't mentioned, just the retired ranks.)

I'm sure there is no conflict of interest there.

They take issue with the F/A-18 being a less expensive multi-mission platform; and the solution is . . . a less expensive even multier-mission platform . . .
