Please post. Deployment is boring. My only entertainment is fucking with O-4s, and if it keeps up at this pace, I'm bound to get destructive.

I edited the post to remove his name and identifying information. Just like the Lead Ensign, there is no need to make his name any more public than it already is.

If anybody has any heartache about why we do not need to post his name, feel free to PM me.

Re-designation depends on the time of year. If it's near October, you have a better chance of getting picked up for something else. Also, and this is just something that I noticed but may not be factual, it appears that the further along the pipeline you DOR, NPQ, whatever, then the higher chance you'll get a redesignation. When I was going through API, it was a 50/50 shot. All the people who went to redesignation that I saw at Primary got accepted. Not something I'd count on, though. Don't stress it and kick ass.

I think things have shifted recently, one of our now LTJG's put in for redesignation a few months ago due to being dropped out of flight school and only one of his group was approved for redesignation, several years ago I would run into guys who were dropped but redesignated without any issues.

I know it has already been said, but keep the focus positive while going through this whole process. Dreams become goals and the focus needs to be on obtaining those goals. The more focused you are on that, the more likely you will be to succeed. Good luck.

I'm sure there are dudes on here who would do a better job telling it. Wouldn't want the truth to get in the way of a good story.
