PRK after pro rec

Anyone done PRK after being prorec? I was pro-rec in July and found out they will not waive my eye, so I will have to have prk. I wanted to know if they will give me a ocs date before the 90 day waiver has gone through.

I did. I went to MEPS after receiving a pro-rec and found out that my vision was worse than 20/40 uncorrected. I talked with my recruiter and he made a call (to whom I do not remember) and got it cleared to have my package held for an additional 3-4 months. I had PRK two weeks later (on my own dime), and another eye exam at MEPS exactly 3 months after that. I didn't actually receive the PRK waiver until week 9 or 10 of OCS.

I know I'm resurrecting an ancient thread here, but there's an implication from this I'd like to get confirmed: You can get PROREC'd with worse than 20/40 in one or more eye(s)? I'm asking because I haven't gotten to that stage yet, and have learned I may need to get PRK in my left eye - but just that one.

not anymore, in the past a person would not go to MEPS until after a pro rec Y, now they go to MEPS prior to submitting an application.
