Pilot/NFO Board FY 19- Feb. 5, 2019

I just spoke to my OR over the phone. He said that they ended up not having an auto board at the end of last month because the board was pushed up to January 16. Instead, the scheduled board on 1/16 will just handle all of the applicants -- auto select and all others going before the board at the same time. He also said that those who are auto selects *might* hear back a bit earlier than everyone else, but that's not guaranteed. If anyone has heard differently from their recruiter let me know, but this makes sense because the auto board was scheduled for 12/31 after all - New Years Eve.

One week until the 16JAN Board. I'm getting pretty excited. I've heard the rule of thumb is within 2-3 weeks after the board you should hear, but can be sooner. anyone heard otherwise?
Same excited but also hella nervous. My recruiter said the same, he said he thinks for sure by the first week in Feb. Good luck to you

I looked at one of the previous boards (https://www.airwarriors.com/community/index.php?threads/15-aug-18-pilot-nfo-board.45836/page-12) and people were hearing back as soon as 3 days later. I couldn't see if they were auto-selects but it seems that applicants can learn their results sooner if they reach out to their OR. If they wait for the official notification, it could take 2 or 3 weeks.

Just sitting on pins and needles now. Hope everything goes through. Seems like waiting's the hardest part of the whole process.

My OR called me the day the board met, so it just depends on the board. Your OR should let you know as soon as they find out. Your FINSEL won't come until a bit after. I would caution you against continually harassing your OR. They'll let you know when the results come to them.

Will the yes or no pop in Bupers Online for priors?
You’ll get the call from your skipper first. They will email your command triad several days before populating bupers. I drove myself crazy checking it, so you will too I’m sure. But 3 days after the board met i went home after leaving base and went to sleep and my skipper called and I answered all groggy like and had no idea who I was talking to and then it hit who it was and why he was calling. He heard my shit eating grin through the phone
