As of last week my recruiter told me there will be a Pre-board in December but said he doesn’t know what the exact date is yet.

Well keep us updated if you hear anything. Hopefully it's more towards the end of December for my sake.

Waiting on an in-town consult appointment to clear one last thing for MEPs.... been waiting for two months; hopefully I can get the appointment before applications are due. Here's to hurry up and waiting.

Will be applying to this board. MEPS completed yesterday and recruiter will be submitting my packet next week. Looking forward to hearing the results!

Good luck to everyone! Let me know if you have any questions as the process is still fresh with me!
- What did you do to practice for the Joystick & throttle portion?

I didn’t practice at all. I flew R/C airplanes my whole life which probably helped my hand-eye coordination. You can always ask your recruiter if they can let you practice, I’m not sure if they can though!

Really the only thing that'll help you is practicing with an inverted Y-axis. Other than that, it's gonna be a shit show.
Inverted as in consistent with pitch control for aircraft. The whole time during that part I was telling myself “this is a fun disaster, can’t wait to retake it”
Just stay positive, do your best and then do a little better.

I think I messed up mostly on the listening part, got the clutch and trigger for the prime and odd numbers wrong. When it came time for the emegencies, I wrote them down, did the short practice they give you, and it went straight to the grading and never did the actual emergencies which I was like okay what the hell happened? Even though I’m a private pilot and fly sims alot, I still found it hard af to track the vertical airplane and the overall experience was overwhelming. I think I got like a 3/5/3.

I tripped up on the emergencies too. It says in small writing toward the end that there isn’t a practice session for that part.

I got a little too “involved” on the joystick part my first time taking the test and ended up unplugging the joystick from the computer. Whoops.

What were scores first time around and then second time?
