Nice, I'm with the Houston OSS. You ready for the heat? I'm a little anxious about the cold, but I'm hoping the fall is a more mild version of the summer and winter.

Y'all feeling prepared overall?
Honestly, the fall weather shouldn't be that bad. It'll be a nice break from the Texas heat haha. The summer heat in the Northeast/Mid Atlantic can be just as brutal.

But overall, I'm feeling very confident, and I'll definitely be prepared when September comes around. I ran a 280 PFT for the board, so physically I just have to stay consistent, and just keep studying my knowledge, and studying the five paragraph order until I know it forward and backwards.

Damn, that's a solid PFT! I feel like I'm behind the curve on that, but I'm running a PFT this week as a benchmark for the summer. Hopefully I can retest in late July to get a sense of where I'm at just before heading out. Are you gonna keep working at the same pace in August or are you going to tone it down a bit? I'm about to start hiking in Boots and Utes once a week to break in some Bates, but we dont have much in terms of elevation change down here.

For the most part, I just do a ton of calisthenics and body weight exercises, and I put a lot emphasis on running as well. I’m also gonna start rucking with boots and utes, and just getting used to being on my feet since that is what OCS is going to be like.
