Greetings!

You are receiving this email as either a current or recent user of the NRTC program.

NRTC courses previously hosted on https://nrtc.netc.navy.mil, have begun migrating to the Navy e-Learning (NeL) site for delivery (https://learning.nel.navy.mil) . The Navy e-learning site is CAC-enabled.

If you are currently enrolled in a course, you have until 30 September to complete the course before the switch to the NeL learning management system. At which point any courses that you have not completed, you will have to re-enroll. The good news is that, prior to October 1st, you can download your previous work submitted and resubmit via the new learning system.

To find what's currently available, go to the Course Catalog tab and check the 'What's New' Learning Category or the 'Navy Rate Training Courses' Learning Category and browse. Currently, there are approximately 100 courses that have been fully migrated to the Learning Management System with the remaining non-classified courses being migrated within the next few months.

Please note, these courses will not be available on the Afloat Learning System and will only be able to be completed via the Navy e-Learning (NeL) site https://learning.nel.navy.mil. Course materials may be downloaded from within courses as pdf's or via the My Navy Portal website and saved for review as needed.

Once you have logged into your course on the NeL site we advise you to not stay in a course continuously for more than an hour; otherwise your session may time out, progress will not save, and the course tracking could become corrupt. It's advisable to occasionally exit and re-launch the course to prevent this from happening. There is no need to exit and re-launch Navy eLearning, just the course.

If you have difficulty accessing the site, you can contact the Program Manager frank.topf@navy.mil for assistance. If you are IRR, please contact NPC Customer Service at 1-866-827-5672 or 800-535-2699 for access.

Transitioning NRTC to NeL is in keeping with CNP’s Transformation Initiative to move towards a more autonomous self-service environment for sailors. Additionally, it reduces the number of separate systems sailors have to access, creating a “One-Stop Shop.”

If you have additional questions you can call the NRTC help desk at 877-838-1659 press option 5. As of 01 November 2018 you can contact My Navy Career Center (MNCC) at: 1-833-330-MNCC (1-833-330-6662) askmncc@navy.mil. Until that time contact http://supportsystem.livehelpnow.net/?cid=30432.

This state of NRTC is confusing right now...it would appear that one can't even register for a new course to complete by the deadline.

They archived all the courses. You can’t register for courses, only finish the ones that you have previously registered for.

Regarding the email: I read the 3rd paragraph from the bottom, that Irr can request access to the elearning site at the phone number, but maybe I’m reading that wrong.

I read it the same way...hope PERS reads it that way too! Good luck!

I thought that's how it read too, but I don't see how they're going to pull that off. Also, I went to the site and it fails to find my nonexistent CAC and provides no means of entering any other information for login. So, I think it's a poorly written statement and it would seem IRR is DOA for Navy eLearning.

Thanks for the heads up. Just finished my last course to get 50+ points and stagger across the finish line for my last year in the reserves.

Just last night I hit send on my final correspondence course assignment with Naval War College. I don't have the final grade, but I like my chances. Can't wait to get the letter, submit the points, and apply for retirement.

Hells-to-the-yeah.

Yer gonna get denied... they'll realize you have all these hard-earned knowledges from this NWC course and they'll want some payback by putting you to work making slides on some watch floor.

:p :D
