Brand new member here and first post. Boards are coming up in March-April for AMDO, correct? Any prospective candidates? I assume homestead will be giving it another shot?
New member as well. Turned onto this awesome site of knowledge after expressing frustration of years of the run around to a recently selected AMDO. If I can get my OR to submit my med waiver for VA disability (30%), which I've gone to MEPS twice for, hopefully this 3 year adventure will at least get a complete and competitive package in front of the board. Looking forward to learning from the experts on here.

Pretty certain anything at or above 30% is a no-go for officer programs.

@NavyOffRec do you remember?

@fucknadub, I had to get a letter from the VA claiming that I do not currently receive VA benefits. My OR requested this.

Thanks for the kind words. No one seems to know what happened, my package is in the system but it never made it to the board... I tried to elevate the matter but the next in the chain is on leave so my issues sit idle until then. I wish someone looked into it when I was calling and checking in over the past 4 months. Either way, I'll give it I'll

I'll work with you if you want to submit for the March board. Contact me at the below - put Air Warriors (AEDO/AMDO as applicable) in the subject line.

Good info and no worries on the reply, most a-dubs proudly rock the f'n part of the name. I am receiving VA benefits, however, I did sign an agreement to turn down benefits once selected.

First post here- have an interview for AEDO coming up in the next few days. For those of you who have been through the interviews, were you asked any off-the-wall questions that caught you off guard, or were they typical job interview type questions. I'm non-prior service, so I'm not sure what to expect.

I haven't had my interview yet, but my OR stated that most Officers may ask questions in regard to political situational awareness, you got to know whats going on in the world and who our chain of command might be, if you know what I mean. Also I heard that you may be asked Naval History questions....

Somewhat bad gouge. Interviews aren't meant to be political. Most interviews will consist of what you know about the Navy, the community in which you're applying, and why you should be a Naval Officer. Some might deviate from that but it's somewhat rare.

Maybe roy boy blue meant geopolitical situational awareness. Which is a question expected for applicants for 1835. Not sure AEDO/AMDO.
