I had a Ruger MK III 6" SS bull barrel several years back, but I got rid of it. Can't remember why because I liked shooting it. Never really considered the Buckmark but not because I had heard bad things about it.
I just happened to see the new SW22, Academy had a pretty good price and, credit card in hand, off I went!

I have a Buckmark.. Probably my favorite pistol.. But my wife got me (well really me) a Ruger Precision Rifle this week and it's my new favorite! Went with a Vortex Viper scope..

Finally got the Victory back from S&W (6 week turn-around time to replace the barrel screw.)
I slapped a Primary Arms red dot on it and took it to my range.
Flawlessly ate and shot 160 rounds of Federal 36g bulk pack ammo that's been sitting in my safe since 2008
I didn't even have to dial in the red dot. I was putting every round on a 7" Shoot n See target at 25 yards.
I see many more happy rimfire range trips in the future.

I was trying to figure out if yours was a Pro-Comp or a legacy brake, but I'm pretty sure I see the notches on yours. I really need to put a SOCOM brake on mine, but I absolutely loathe trying to time SF muzzle devices, so I keep procrastinating.

Why do you need a brake on a 5.56? Is it for suppressor integration?

An A2 (or in the case of a SF mount, a -212A, or if you can find one, a closed-tine flash hider which is my white whale) is very effective, but a brake keeps the gun even flatter. That particular gun in my picture is a competition/class gun. I shoot my MK18 with a -212A all the time, and it's fine, but the timer doesn't lie, and the brake makes you able to run it faster. On top of all that, yes, suppressor integration is a key use and that particular rifle runs a SF SOCOM Mini at night (which is why the light is also on there).

With the exception of a 5.45 gun I have, all of my centerfire ARs have SF muzzle devices so they can all mount suppressors. Several years ago when I decided to take the plunge into the suppressor world, I decided to stick to the Surefire system (which of course, they then immediately updated and changed), so I just invested in that capability. Not all of my 5.56 ARs have a brake (actually, many don't), but all of them can take either a 5.56 or 7.62 can. And since you can mount a SOCOM can on a legacy mount (although now SF is back-pedaling saying they don't recommend it because JoeBob on the farm does retarded things to his guns), I can put a can on everything, if I want.

Interestingly enough, I got to shoot a few rounds for the first time through a Warcomp-equipped gun on a select-fire lower yesterday. I'm sad to say I wasn't all that impressed. It wasn't very many rounds, but it didn't feel much different than a SF -212A flash hider, but with more concussion and with their biased right-side porting, possibly less-better handling if shooting weak side. This affirmed why I want a closed-tine SOCOM flash hider...should one ever make the commercial market.

Affirm, notch at 6 o'clock.

A comp like this is not as fun in low light - puts on quite a light show.

But riduculously flat shooting and fun. And well, looks cool.

Just back from the 2017 USPSA Single Satck Nationals in lovely Barry, IL - what better time to show my Kimber in .45 ACP.

This gun has just over 23,000 rounds and shoots wonderfully - all parts are standard with exception of:

-14 pound recoil spring
-Dawson fiber optic front sight
- EGW Extended mag release button
- Techwell mag well
-Techwell G10 grips
-A little grip tape here and there!

Finally got the AR-15 a big brother. Going to need to find a place to do some long-range shooting, but first I need to get some decent glass. Leaning towards a Nightforce NXS with a MOAR reticle. The Swarovski Z8i looks nice, but then I'd have an AR-15 with a scope in MOA and an AR-10 with a scope in mils. Meh to that.

Getting into trap shooting here in San Diego. Decided it was time to upgrade from my "all-purpose" 12 GA over-and-under with 26" tubes and fixed chokes (purchased at the Atsugi Gun Club in Japan years ago) to a dedicated trap gun. Finally went with a Tri-Star TT-15 Top Single with adjustable EVERYTHING except LOP:
