I'm assuming it's just on a roller rail system and pushed out the back like operation dumbo drop. That's a huge bomb.

It's significant in that it hasn't heretofore been employed in an operational context. Whether it serves as an effective message that the "gloves are off," which I presume was why it was used, remains to be seen. I'm sure there will be a standard serving of CD lament, regardless of any actual CD.

We used a similar weapon in Vietnam. "Daisy Cutter". Not nearly as powerful, but also was deployed from a C-130. It was used to make an instant LZ in the jungle.
